Deep cleaning usually means closer attention to the agreed surfaces and buildup. A useful quote explains that extra work, estimates the person-hours and covers your costs instead of applying an unexplained surcharge.
This page helps you plan the quote. The house cleaning quote calculator on the homepage is where you enter your own figures. Opening it keeps your current draft; it does not apply these example inputs.
Define what deep cleaning adds to the job
Review reachable cabinet fronts, baseboards, door surfaces, kitchen grease and bathroom buildup against the Standard scope. Deep is an editable service description, not a universal package. Appliance interiors and specialist restoration are separate unless explicitly assessed and agreed.
Estimate labor from the home you will clean
Inspect fixture density, accessibility and accumulated soil. Review each area allowance or use assessed manual hours. The beta 1.75x Deep preset is an unvalidated starting assumption, not an industry benchmark. Selecting heavy buildup does not automatically add hours or a surcharge.
Keep base detail and additional services separate
Count the detailed base tasks in base labor. Add oven interiors, window work or named custom services with their own quantity, hours and direct costs. An all-in hourly override can price service-specific labor. Avoid including those same hours in the base plan.
Check these details before you quote
- Selected rooms and agreed accessible surfaces
- Detailed baseboard, door and cabinet-front work
- Kitchen grease and bathroom buildup assessed
- Appliance interiors and specialist services listed separately
- Exclusions, final price and customer-ready scope reviewed
Compare the Standard, Deep and Move-out cleaning checklists to agree the tasks. Changing a checklist does not automatically change labor hours; review your plan too.
A worked deep cleaning estimate
Hypothetical Deep clean: five manually assessed base person-hours, two cleaners, $22 labor plus $3 employer cost per hour and $30 per-visit expenses. Target margin 30%, minimum margin 20%, minimum visit price $100. No extras; tax is not assessed. The five hours are entered for this fictional job, not generated by a preset.
These are fictional inputs, not market prices, recommended wages or verified cleaning durations.
| Item | One-time visit |
|---|---|
| Total person-hours | 5.00 |
| Total entered cost | $155.00 |
| Price at target margin, before discount | $221.43 |
| Protected minimum | $193.75 |
| Suggested price before tax | $221.43 |
| Estimated job profit after entered costs | $66.43 |
Price at target margin = entered cost ÷ (1 − target margin), rounded up to a cent. The protected minimum is the higher of the minimum visit price and cost ÷ (1 − minimum margin). For recurring maintenance, the base discount applies before the minimum check. No final price override is used here.
On small screens, swipe wide tables to compare amounts. Enter your verified tax rate and taxable basis separately for a real quote. Blank tax means not assessed. Read the labor cost and profit margin guide for the full calculation.
Questions before sending the estimate
Is deep cleaning always 1.75 times the Standard price?
No. The beta labor preset is editable and unvalidated. It does not mean the final selling price is 1.75 times Standard: expenses, extras, margins and minimum prices also affect the result.
Does selecting heavy buildup automatically increase the price?
No. Review and adjust labor allowances or use assessed hours. Record specialist scope and arrangements for special contamination before confirming a quote.
Can a recurring service begin with a Deep clean?
Yes. Choose Deep for the first visit and assess ongoing Standard maintenance separately. Later visits have their own labor plan and final price.
Turn the plan into a customer quote
Enter the job and labor plan, add costs and extras, then review the suggested price. Add optional company and customer details and confirm your final amount before downloading a PDF or text file. Private costs and notes stay out of the customer output. See how to prepare a cleaning estimate PDF.
